About the team:

Positive Behaviour Implementation Coaches work within a Multi-tiered System of Support framework to build capacity of educators to support students to maximise their educational outcomes.

About the role:

Positive Behaviour Implementation Coaches will implement whole of schools approaches and use knowledge of wellbeing, safety and behaviour approaches to provide advice, coaching, mentoring and professional development to school leaders, teachers and support staff in collaboration with colleagues from client services. This position will work with colleagues from within a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective plans are developed and strategies are implemented to ensure optimum engagement with education.

There are five positions available, with one based in Darwin, one in Nhulunbuy Education office, one in Alice Springs Office, one in Katherine and one in Tennant Creek. For Katherine and Tennant Creek positions, applicants may be able to negotiate to be based in Darwin or Alice Springs.

To be successful you will need to have a tertiary qualification in education, social work, psychology, speech pathology or occupational therapy and registration with the relevant professional association or ability to obtain.

Office-based conditions apply to this position. The applicant must hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Notice Clearance and an NT driver’s licence. Visits to remote schools may necessitate travel by four-wheel drive vehicle on unsealed roads or light aircraft and include overnight stays in remote communities of up to four days. Four-wheel drive training will be provided by the NT Department of Education.
