Are you a dedicated Allied Health practitioner (psychologist, speech pathologist or occupational therapist) who is passionate about ensuring all children are welcomed into an inclusive environment and can learn to their full potential? 

About the team:

The Central Australian Regional Response (CARR) operates within a multi-tiered system of support framework, to promote the development of a student’s learning and wellbeing, by building the capability of staff to make the necessary adjustments required for children and young people to access the curriculum. 

About the roles:

Inclusion Advisor Psychologists (P3) collaborates with school leadership, teachers, school staff, parents and external partners or agencies to provide support on matters related to student wellbeing in areas such as learning, behaviour, and personal/social competence. 

Inclusion Advisor Speech Pathologists (P3) work with school leadership, teachers, school staff, parents and external groups or agencies to enable students with speech, language and communication needs to access and participate in educational programs across diverse settings.

Inclusion Advisor Occupational Therapists (P3) work with school leadership, teachers, school staff, parents and external groups or agencies to promote the development of students with movement, sensory processing and daily livening skills needs to access and engage in educational programs across diverse settings. 

These positions are based in Alice Springs.

Office-based conditions apply to this position. The applicant must hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Notice Clearance and an NT driver’s licence. Visits to remote schools may necessitate travel by four wheel drive vehicle on unsealed roads or light aircraft and include overnight stays in remote communities of up to four days. Four wheel drive training will be provided by the NT Department of Education.
