About the Role
Effectively coordinate a team of multi-disciplinary family wellbeing staff across the funded regions and manage the delivery of responsive community-embedded family supports for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
Duties
- Lead the implementation of staff supports that maintain adherence to the program Model of Care, Human Service Practice Framework, and enhancing staff role clarity that places clients quality and impact as the primary focus.
- Lead the implementation of management operational processes and non-negotiable tasks.
- Lead the ongoing and consistent use of ATSICHS automated data systems to track, monitor and improve the services we provide to young people and families.
- Lead the implementation of quality improvement measures, in conjunction with Program Manager and Operations Manager, ensuring the consistent focus of continually striving to improve the impact made with young people and families.
- Lead the smooth management of intake and triaging amongst program, with the guidance and support of the Program Manager.
- Assist in leading a productive single team culture, with the support and guidance of the Program Manager.
- Work to foster productive relationships with all staff internally and externally.

- Starting annual salary of $94,000 (depending on qualifications and experience).

COVID-19 Requirement
- Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid -19 vaccine is encouraged.
Required
- Current bachelor’s degree in social work, Human Services, Social Science, Health, Allied Health, Youth Work, Community Services, Family Intervention or Criminology with 4 years’ relevant experience in family support, child protection, youth support or related field.
OR
- Current Diploma in Community Services, Social Work, Human Services, Child and Family, Allied Health, Youth Work, Child and Family Intervention with 5 years’ relevant experience in family support, child protection, youth support or related field.
AND
- With at least 3 years of above mentioned experience in a case management role.
- Demonstrated ability and comfortableness working in a performance driven environment to meet individual weekly, monthly and quarterly performance targets.
- Demonstrated ability to build client agency, self-efficacy and facilitate change through client empowerment, while actively discouraging client dependence on supports.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to provide behaviour change interventions that build client self-awareness and active change in achieving their identified goals.
- Demonstrated ability to work with the whole-of-family, irrespective of primary client, in meeting the totality of family needs.
- Demonstrated ability in coordinating multiple services in providing access to holistic care for clients, particularly integrating internal agency supports across multiple teams.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the factors contributing to vulnerability, disengagement, and intergenerational trauma of client group.
- Experience with case management for high risk and/or crisis clients, with high-level planning and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of the supports available to target clients in the areas of mental health, substance misuse, education, employment and housing.
Additional Requirements
- Requirement to travel across the Chermside and/or Brisbane region, as per program location.
- Current drivers’ licence.
- Flexibility to work outside 8:30am-5:00pm business hours in meeting individual client needs and provide responsive care.
- Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.
