About the role

Exciting opportunity to join the Kalgoorlie Australian Red Cross Team.  We are seeking casual workers to support our residents at our Kalgoorlie Aboriginal Short Stay Accommodation (KASSA) Service. 

KASSA officially opened in 2013 and provides short-term housing to visitors from remote communities. Australian Red Cross manages this facility and we pride ourselves on providing Aboriginal people with a safe, comfortable home while visiting Kalgoorlie-Boulder to attend to business or access essential services.  

We are seeking additional casual workers to support our existing team. Our service operates 24/7 and we have casual roles available  7 days a week on day, evening or night shifts. Primary duties are supporting our in house residents to enjoy a safe 'home away from home'.

What you’ll bring

• Understanding and respect for Aboriginal culture and the ability to work effectively alongside Aboriginal people at the facility and in the community.
• Availability to work flexible hours on a roster basis which may include days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• A willingness to follow policies and procedures around health and safety and risk management processes within the facility
• A Working with Children Check is a mandatory requirement for this role.
