About the role

Red Cross aims to ensure communities are strong and resilient and have the capacity to anticipate, respond to, and recover from disasters.

In this position you will support the effective delivery of Emergency Services before, during and after emergency events and ensure that operational readiness is maintained at all times.

The focus of the role may be across one or more areas of emergency services work including operations, projects, volunteer management and support and community work.

Due to the nature of the role, when you are in a period of activation and responding to an emergency, some out of hours work including weekends may be required.

About you

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience with project management or working on projects
  • Strong administration skills
  • Well developed problem solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Flexibility, strong problem solving skills and excellent attention to details
  • Knowledge and proficiency in use of software applications, including Excel, databases, mobile/tablet applications and Microsoft suite of programs
  • High level interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Proven highly developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to establish priorities with competing demands
  • Working with children check (blue card) is essential

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 3. Hourly rate $36.01 + casual loading + superannuation + access to salary packaging.
