The Australian Childhood Foundation is delivering the Equestrian Youth Engagement Service (EYES), a federally funded program aimed at reducing offending and antisocial behaviour in young people (ages 14-17) in southeast Perth. The program combines equine-assisted interventions, cultural support, mentoring, education, and vocational opportunities to help at-risk youth avoid criminal activity, school disengagement, and long-term challenges like unemployment and homelessness. The Foundation partners with the WA equestrian industry, an equine assisted intervention service, and Karla Kuliny Aboriginal Corporation for cultural support.
As the Team Leader, you will ensure positive outcomes for participants by leading program development, youth engagement, and advocacy efforts. Responsibilities include overseeing the program's implementation, organising and leading activities, managing administration, and liaising with external stakeholders.
No previous equestrian experience is required although an interest in learning about the equestrian industry is needed.
This is a very hands-on position and requires someone with exceptional youth engagement skills. Flexible work arrangements will be negotiated.
Join us to make a meaningful impact on young people's lives.
