The Bridge Youth Service, Australian Childhood Foundation, and Family Care have formed a consortium to deliver the Shepparton Supporting Adolescent Boys Trial (SSABT). This initiative draws on over 30 years of combined expertise to support adolescent males aged 12 to 18 who have experienced family violence and may be at risk of causing harm to others.
The program provides a sequenced range of individualised therapeutic services that include support for significant family members and systems around the young male. The model includes:
As a Therapeutic Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting adolescent boys impacted by family violence through specialised, culturally safe and inclusive one-on-one interventions. You will also assist families in supporting the recovery journey of these young males.
This role is part of a multi-systemic, integrated, coordinated, and holistic approach and involves:
You will collaborate with key stakeholders, ensure best practices, and contribute to a culture of safety and healing.
