We are looking for someone who is passionate about climate action and social media to join our 1 Million Women team. This position involves working with the content team to pitch and create content for social media, with a strong focus on video and reel projects that educate and empower women to act on climate in their everyday lives.

WHO ARE YOU?

You are passionate about empowering women to live climate action, you find joy in using social media as a tool for activism, have a solid understanding of digital landscapes, and have a particular knack for social media video creation.

You must be comfortable using various multimedia programs as outlined below and you want to help build community and drive change.

THE ROLE

As our Video Content Creator you will:

• Work as part of a small team (answering to the Head of Digital) to create video social media content for 1 Million Women’s social media channels from the conception of ideas to the final product.
• Use Adobe programs (Including Photoshop, Indesign, & Premiere Pro as well as Canva, CapCut or any equivalent) to design video content that meets the 1MW style guide.
• Contribute to the social media rollout of 1 Million Women’s main campaign 1MREADY and Women Power and centred around the topics of Everyday Actions, Electrification, the Economic Power of Women and empowering women to be more politically engaged.
• Bring fresh ideas to our social media content to further our reach and engagement.
• Be part of a dedicated team, committed to climate action and to empowering women to build their confidence, find their voice and act on climate through making real change within their own lives

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• At Least 1-2 years experience in content creation and social media & digital strategy and implementation
• Experience working with Instagram for a business, organisation, community group etc
• Proficient in basic asset and video creation using the Adobe suite and Canva
• Excellent written communication skills
• Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to edit others' work
• Ability to multitask and know what to prioritise
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Has own laptop that can run Adobe programs
  And a passion for climate communication and women’s empowerment

Employment type: Part-time, 2 days weekly (negotiable).

Salary package: $70,000-80,000 (pro rata) per annum. Salary level depends on experience.
