About the role

We are seeking a full time Member Services Officer who is responsible for providing excellent, knowledgeable member service, timely administration and accurate data support to retain, maintain and grow AVA’s membership. Core responsibilities of the role include membership administration, addressing and keeping records of queries from members, and contributing to membership data intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a first point of contact and liaison point for members and members of the public, providing information on membership fees, products, policies, processes and services.
  • Documenting all membership inquiries and maintaining accurate membership records.
  • Processing of membership cycle transactions and payment processes.
  • Handle, document and appropriately escalate welfare and support calls from members in challenging or exceptional circumstances.
  • Actively promotes membership to prospective members and maintains a good understanding of member services, benefits and fee structure in order to provide accurate information.
  • Follow set processes and maintains member database integrity and accuracy.

About you

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role preferably experience in working within a membership-based organisation
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with organisations, members and other stakeholders
  • Ability to proactively seek support and / or solutions in dealing with new or unknown tasks and issues
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Advanced MS Office knowledge
  • Advanced database management skills and knowledge
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary, collaborative team
  • Ability to plan, work and manage time with minimal supervision
