We’re looking for a Digital Content Development Officer who can volunteer remotely (from home) for 6 months. Join the Australian Volunteers Program to contribute to sustainable development across East Asia. 

About the Partner Organisation: 

Mongol Ecology Center (MEC) recognizes the international “best practice” to preserve a country’s natural and cultural heritage through a national system of parks and protected areas. MEC runs a youth program called Youth Sustainability Corps with the aim to empower young people by educating them about their civil rights, and by developing their skills to monitor, collaborate, and advocate for the use of best practices in effectively managing and utilizing Mongolia’s natural and cultural resources. As part of our youth-focused YSC program, we are planning to create a mobile application with interactive and gamified educational content. We will hire a third-party contractor for the development of the app and the volunteer will be responsible for providing guidance throughout the project, assisting in defining technical specifications, evaluating development proposals, and ensuring that the app adheres to industry best practices. 

Working with the team, the volunteer will also be responsible for quality assurance and UX and create plans to execute various testing methodologies, identify and report bugs.

About the Position: 

• You’ll be supporting MEC team in developing the app and monitoring the progress of the app development
• You’ll need a relevant degree and proven experience in app development or related technical roles.
• You’ll be empowering Mongolian youth in active participation in civil and environmental activities through education and digital content.

Allowance: $79

Allowance figure is per month, allowance figures are $131 (full-time), $79 (part-time).

Special requirements

• The Partner Organisation's preference for this role is full-time (25h per week or more)
• Federal Police check must be completed during the application
