We live in Southbank, Melbourne, with our adult son, who lives with autism. He likes to live in a quiet environment where his predictable needs and safety are well catered for. The right person can support him to do things he is comfortable and happy to do.

Required Part-time, minimum of 2 shifts, as follows:

• 1-2 shifts on Weekdays & 1 on Weekends: 8:30am - 3pm and 3pm to 9.30pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support to an adult with autism, ensuring a quiet and predictable environment that caters to his needs and safety
• Assist our son in activities he is comfortable and happy to engage in
• Carry out necessary household tasks and related activities as directed by the employer
• Perform shopping duties as required
• Follow instructions provided by the employer

REQUIREMENTS

• Possession of full Driver's license
• Use of your own Car with full business use insurance essential
• Working with Children Approval
• Recent police check proof
• Good physical fitness to meet the demands of the role
• Availability to work up to 3 x 6-hour day & evening shifts
• Min of 1 shift during the week and 1 during the weekend
• No prior knowledge or work experience in autism or disability is required. Training will be provided
• Positive attitude and willingness to develop a relationship with Aaron
