Balwyn Community Centre (BCC) is seeking an experienced Centre Director to lead and manage our thriving community centre. This pivotal role oversees all aspects of the Centre’s operations, ensuring it remains a welcoming space that fosters social connection, lifelong learning, and community wellbeing.

Reporting to the Board of Governance, the Centre Director will drive the Centre’s mission, ensuring high-quality programs, strong stakeholder relationships, and long-term growth. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, governance and compliance, financial and resource management, operational oversight, community engagement, and team leadership.

We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong background in the community, not-for-profit or similar setting sector. You will have proven skills in strategic and operational planning, governance, and financial management, along with the ability to lead a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Experience in securing and managing funding, grants, and partnerships is essential. Strong communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills will set you apart.

The ideal candidate will champion a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and continuous improvement, ensuring BCC continues to deliver diverse and engaging programs that meet the evolving needs of the local community.
