We currently have a permanent, full time opportunity for a Business Support Consultant to join our Information Technology department. This role can be based in our Collingwood Head Office, or Bendigo and will report to the Business Support Manager.
The Business Support Consultant will provide support to the retail arm of the business in product development and special projects. This role will provide technical testing and development support of the company’s core banking systems.

What you will be doing
- Investigate key banking system faults and initiate remedial action
- Escalation of key banking system faults with third party suppliers as required
- Build upgrades – UAT change testing and regression testing
- Liaise with key partners, developers and business units to facilitate the initiation, documentation, provision and review of new system developments
- Liaise with business units, developers and key partners to assist in development, testing and release of new products or changes to existing products
- Assist with special projects impacting key banking systems
- Ensure that change management processes are followed in the performance of duties in line with business procedures
- Ensure that incident management processes are followed in the performance of duties in line with business procedures
- Testing of roll back procedures and documenting results and directed by Manager Business Systems
- Ensure developments to key banking systems that support regulatory compliance are prioritised.
- Document system processes, procedures and knowledge base articles for Key Banking Systems as directed by the Manager Business Support
- Actively provide feedback to the team if there are gaps in documentation.
What you will bring
- Minimum year 12 completion is essential. Relevant graduate or post graduate qualification is desirable
- Skills in computer literacy
- Effective communication and report writing skills
- Experience and/or knowledge of software testing is desirable
- Experience and/or knowledge of ITIL including Incident & change management is desirable
- Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational database models is desirable
- Previous experience in project management is highly desirable
