The Product Manager, Lending is ultimately responsible for the ongoing investment, management and continual improvement of the bank’s Loan Origination solution, along with its supporting technologies. As an experienced finance solutions person, you will work with business stakeholders to help them translate ongoing business requirements into technical design and solutions, and ensure the platform is fit for purpose

The Product Manager, Lending is responsible for managing the business’ needs and priorities for Loan Origination solution and associated systems throughout the entire lifecycle, from requirements analysis through to design, build, testing, implementation and ongoing optimisation, taking on technical ownership of our Lending Systems portfolio.

What you will be doing

  • Work with various business and technology teams to strategise and implement technical solutions to address business problems within Loan Origination and associated third party integrations
  • Provide advice and expertise to business users on all things lending systems
  • Manage the prioritisation and execution of the product backlog, change requests and support fixes
  • Be responsible for delivering ongoing improvement and enhancements of our lending systems that continually increase ROI from this solution
  • Responsible for configuring and maintaining solutions.
  • Coordinate business SMEs to facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to elicit and discuss lending systems requirements and priorities
  • Maintain lending systems design and configuration documentation in conjunction with external implementation partner
  • Lead and direct a small team of application product resources and coordinate technical resources to achieve desired outcomes
  • Lead and direct our third-party providers, including maximising our outcomes from them, and ensuring they meet their agreed Service Levels
  • Perform and lead user testing on changes and feature releases. Create and drive automation of ever-growing regression test suite
  • Build a continual release backlog strategy to ensure business users are getting the most out of the lending systems
  • Work closely with process and LOS Product owners to identify opportunities for process improvement as they relate to lending systems, and lending system development and delivery
  • Work closely with internal project teams and resources and external vendor for larger technical and complex requirements.

  • Ability to communicate strategic and technical development concepts with clarity to stakeholders across all levels of technical competency.
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments
  • Someone who thrives on getting into the detail of complex business problems with a goal to find a solution using technology
  • Ability to lead, manage and participate in a dynamic team of inter-disciplinary professionals
  • Demonstrable ability to provide strategic advice and recommendations to management
