We currently have a permanent, full time opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Transformation Division. This role will be based in our Collingwood Head Office and will report to the Business Analyst Practice Manager
The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding and documenting business needs in order to gather the necessary information to propose and implement solutions. This role will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and the maintenance of a collaborative and supportive work environment, while supporting various objectives and project deadlines.

What you will be doing
- Analyse and translate business needs into solutions and initiatives by managing components of initiatives/projects
- Develop, review, and govern functional specifications, Business Requirement artefacts documents that define the desired outcome of system enhancements/developments
- Conduct in-depth analysis of existing processes, systems, and data to identify integration opportunities and challenges
- Participate in system testing, training, user acceptance, and validation testing of solutions and production changes and upgrades to applications and systems
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and document business requirements
- Assist with embedding a new discipline around process mapping and procedure documentation
- Develop and deliver presentations to audiences that comprise of people across all levels of technical competence and understanding
- Provide process improvement or reengineering recommendations,
- Assist in gap analysis to identify opportunities and issues, and propose solutions
- Develop user guides where necessary
- Assist in development of business cases, RFP processes and vendor management when required
- Support end user training activities including the development and review of training material as required
- Support post go-live activities during the hyper-care period, including troubleshooting and adjustment of policies and processes as required.
What you will bring
- Demonstrable experience working in system development projects or supporting business and business systems directly
- Experience in Financial Services is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of integration concepts, data flows, and systems architecture, Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies
- Solid understanding of customer journeys, epics and user stories
- Able to work across Waterfall and/or Agile type programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Stakeholder Management skills
- Ability to communicate strategic and technical concepts with clarity to stakeholders across all levels of technical competence
- Ability to work autonomously across multiple initiatives
- Relevant Tertiary qualification in IT or Business is highly desirable
- Financial Services experience desirable
- Business Analyst Certification is desirable
