About the role

The Corporate Affairs Consultant is a custodian of the bank’s brand. The focus of this role is on the supporting the bank’s responsible banking positioning through the delivery of internal and external communications activity and corporate affairs projects.

The role is accountable for supporting the development and implementation of communication and content strategies; including delivery of digital content across all channels. The role supports and contributes to the development and implementation of the bank’s internal and external communications strategies. The role is also responsible for managing short and medium term projects that contribute to the bank’s thought leadership position and strengthen the brand.

The position is based at our head office in Kew, Melbourne.

• Salary range $70,000 - $80,000 plus 11% super.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing and implementing innovative and engaging digital and social media content to support our responsible banking commitments and Impact Fund partnerships.
• Growing the bank’s social media communities through engaging content, and monitoring and responding to issues emerging through social media.
• Contributing to the bank’s internal communications program, events and thought leadership activities.
• Contributing to the development of the bank’s corporate report.
• Monitoring social, environmental and economic issues relevant to the work of the bank.

What you’ll bring

• Understanding of corporate social responsibility principles and practice
• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in the communications field and experience working with digital platforms
• Ability to form strong working relationships with stakeholders and partners
• Ability to think critically and analytically
• Strong attention to detail
• Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing or business/relevant field
