About the Opportunity

Banksia Support has an opportunity for a Social Worker or Mental Health Social Worker to join our small but passionate team in a part-time capacity. We provide the autonomy for you to work from home, with participant appointments and engagements across the Brisbane Region. This gives you the ability to structure your day to suit your family life and existing commitments and a caseload to be successful in your work.

The role promises to be varied in case load and requirements. This position will ensure flexible service delivery and will include the provision of support and sustained engagement, advocacy, and may also support the development and facilitation of therapeutic support through one on-one counselling and intervention.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor level qualifications in Social Work
• Registered with the AASW
• A minimum of 2 years’ post graduate experience in a Social Work role, including experience delivering therapeutic interventions, reflected in a high level of knowledge and skills in responding to the impacts of trauma
• Current Driver’s License and own car with the capacity to drive in the broader Brisbane region
• Blue Card
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or existing Yellow Card
• Proof of NDIS Orientation Module, or willing to obtain
• A clearly defined practice framework that incorporates unconditional positive regard and social justice perspectives.
