What you’ll do:

In this position you’ll oversee the Social Support Group service which includes:

  • Day to day and structured supervision of program support workers
  • Program development - planning, implementation and evaluation of program activities to ensure they meet client needs
  • Consumer engagement, care and management including assessments and care support plans
  • Program operations, administration and facility management
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of consumers are an upmost priority
  • Initiate partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to expand programs and resources.

What you'll bring - skills, experience and certificates:

  • Diploma or Certificate IV in Community Services or similar and extensive experience working in Social Support Groups.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, facilitating, implementing and evaluating programs to meet client needs.
  • Demonstrated high level of skill in administrative tasks.
  • Demonstrated experience managing time and prioritising tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing positive and constructive leadership to the team.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Commonwealth Home Support Programme guidelines and understanding of Wellness and Reablement principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to show respect and sensitivity towards differences and work sensitively in complex settings, including competing needs, cultural, social and religious diversity.

Mandatory Pre-employment checks:

  • Current Drivers licence
  • Working With Children’s Check
  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) Previously known as a police check
  • CPR / Level 2 First Aid certificate

We offer:

  • Two-year temporary full-time position
  • Salary $77,785.93 - $90,083.32 per annum plus super
