About the role
At BaptistCare HopeStreet, we seek to transform the lives of people in our communities who are living with disadvantage or experiencing great personal trials.
The Pathways Team Leader provides team leadership, supporting the team to provide integrated, holistic wrap around support, to work alongside vulnerable / marginalised communities.
The role includes Hub oversight of a multidisciplinary team, including students, and volunteers.
The Pathways Leader demonstrates, promotes, and supports BaptistCare’s values, guided by our theories and principles of best practice.
The successful candidate will have:
- Degree or Diploma in Community Services, Counselling, Social Work or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years working in a Counselling &/or community-based Case Worker role
- Mental Health First Aid accreditation, Trauma Informed Care training (or willingness to participate in training)
- Child Protection training / knowledge / experience
- Ability to work within an integrated approach that is person centred and includes strengths base, narrative
- Ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience working with and understanding the issues impacting on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
- Experience working with women from CALD backgrounds (sex workers, DV, LGBT+ communities) or individuals who may be experiencing complex concerns
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare's Christian identity and enthusiastically promote the organisation's values through every interaction at work
- Demonstrates understanding of DFV, Suicidality, self harm and risk screening
- Sound understanding of group program delivery, counselling and support service delivery
- Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and thrive in dynamic, diverse community environments, adapting to new challenges and opportunities with ease
- Collaborate seamlessly with multiple teams, projects, and contexts, utilising strong negotiation and conflict management skills to achieve successful outcomes
- Skilfully identify, cooperate, and coordinate with local stakeholders, building strong relationships and partnerships that benefit clients and communities.
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership and provide guidance to the team during client crises, leveraging problem-solving skills, high-level client intervention skills, advocacy skills, and knowledge of the service sector to drive successful outcomes
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
- Hold a current Working with Children Check
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain a first aid certificate
