<h3><strong>About the Barkly Region</strong></h3>
<p>The Barkly Region covers more than 320,000 km2 stretching from the old Telegraph Station at Barrow Creek in the south to the historical droving township of Newcastle Waters in the north. Located approximately 1000km south of Darwin and 500km north of Alice Springs. Tennant Creek has a population of 3,252 and is the largest town in the region.</p>

<p>Learn about the local cultural at Nyinkka Nyunyu Art and Culture Centre, spend the day kayaking at Tingkkarli (Lake Mary Ann), or take a walk around the peculiar rock formations of Karlu Karlu (Devils Marbles) or use your leisure time from work and take a 4WD adventure into the Davenport Ranges. There is lots to discover in the Barkly Region. With some of the most beautiful landscapes in Australia and easy access to several of Australia&rsquo;s tourism icons. <p>Tennant Creek has a well-stocked IGA and several other specialist retail businesses along with a number of cafes, pubs and clubs. Along with a private medical centre the Barkly region&rsquo;s health needs are met with a 20-bed hospital located in Tennant Creek. Both a primary school and high school are located in Tennant Creek along with a new and modern Youth Centre.</p>

<h3><strong>The Essentials</strong></h3>

<li>Administrative skills to effectively support the achievement of work objectives.</li>
<li>Current Driver's Licence.</li>
<li>Current National Criminal History Check (within the last 3 months).</li>
<li>Current Northern Territory Working with Children check (Ochre Card).</li>
<li>Current First Aid Certificate.</li>

<h3><strong>The Finer Details</strong></h3>

<li>Full-Time position paying Level 4 Pay Point 1 of the Barkly Regional Council Enterprise Agreement 2023.</li>

<li>Annual Salary of $61,914.46 per annum ($2,381.33 gross per fortnight).</li>
</ul>

<li>Tennant Creek Zone Allowance of $1.89 per ordinary hour.</li>
<li>11.5% Superannuation.</li>
<li>Annual Leave of 6 weeks paid with 17.5% Leave Loading.</li>
