About the Role:

The position of Safe House Coordinator – Ali Curung provides case management support to women and children who are experiencing family violence. You will coordinate the running of the Safe House, with the assistance of Safe House Workers, to ensure the service is available for emergency accommodation related to domestic, family, and community violence on a 24/7 basis.

The Essentials:

  • Highly developed organisational and communication skills including the ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a team environment.
  • Proven leadership, performance management, training, and mentoring skills and experience with the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage financial, and funded programs across multiple communities.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills including an ability to communicate complex issues to a wide range of people and groups and interact effectively with people of diverse cultures.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work constructively within culturally diverse settings, including a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture, family, and community structures.

The Finer Details:

  • Salary of $65,068.27 per annum ($1,251.31 gross per week)
  • Remote Living Allowance of $2.3860 per ordinary hour worked
  • 11% Superannuation
  • Annual Leave of 6 weeks paid with 17.5% leave loading

  • Relocation Assistance of up to $5,000
  • Subsidised Housing within the Community will be provided to the successful applicant. The current weekly rent is $50 per week.
