batyr is committed to providing a safe, culturally appropriate, inclusive environment for all people, regardless of ethnicity, faith, disability, sexuality, or gender identity. We believe that everyone’s voice is valid and worthy of being heard, and because of this, we strongly encourage people from all backgrounds to apply, especially those from minority or marginalised communities.
batyr’s Program Facilitators play a key role in delivering batyr’s preventative mental health education programs across secondary schools, universities, workplaces, and community settings.
This role involves facilitating and coordinating engaging and interactive sessions, creating safe spaces for open conversations about mental health, and ensuring young people feel heard and supported. Program Facilitators use a dynamic and conversational approach to connect with diverse audiences, adapting their facilitation style to meet different needs. They lead group activities, introduce and debrief stories shared by batyr’s lived-experience storytellers, and foster an environment where participants feel empowered to engage.
In addition to facilitation, Program Facilitators manage pre- and post-program administration to ensure smooth program delivery and measure impact.
We are a preventative youth mental health charity created and driven by young people for young people. We empower young people with the confidence and skills to overcome tough times and look out for each other. We work to create stigma-free communities that champion young people’s mental health and well-being. Our vision is a world where all young people lead mentally healthy and fulfilling lives.
We are an energetic, fun and dynamic team passionate about creating meaningful change for youth mental health. Excitingly, we are on the hunt to build our team with even more passionate, skilled and driven people to continue to develop our high-performance culture and expand the reach and impact of batyr. If you want a workplace where you can bring your full, weird and wonderful self to the office daily, this is the place.
You’re a confident communicator who thrives on meaningful conversations. You have a knack for ‘reading a room,’ adapting to different situations and audiences, and making people feel comfortable and valued. You know how to connect with young people in an engaging, authentic, and supportive way. You’re passionate about mental health and want to use your skills to create a positive impact. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
