The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

By understanding the data that is relevant to decision making and providing in depth analysis where necessary, Finance & Procurement supports the strong functioning of the Ahpra Board, Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee, the National Executive, all fifteen National Boards and our co-regulatory partners.
The Financial Accountant is responsible for preparing financial statements like balance sheets, income statements, , FBT, BAS, Payroll tax lodgement, work cover lodgement, balance sheet reconciliations and month-end journal preparations; ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The role will also collaborate with the team to manage general ledgers, oversee month end and year end closing processes,
This role demands strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills and the ability to handle financial data with accuracy and efficiency. We are seeking candidates who possess strong communication skills and be able to liaise with range of stakeholders.
