The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) is the national agency responsible for administering the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme (National Scheme) in partnership with 15 National Boards for the regulated health professions. 

This is a full-time permanent opportunity that is based in Melbourne working a hybrid (2 office days) arrangement. 

About the Role

An exciting new role in our Information and Cybersecurity team, the Project Manager – Cybersecurity is responsible for leading the delivery of projects that enhance the Ahpra’s cybersecurity posturing, as part of a maturity-based Cybersecurity Strategy.

Working in partnership with subject matter specialists from across the Technology directorate and the wider organisation, the Project Manager – Cybersecurity orchestrates key activities within the project management lifecycle, including project planning, planning, scoping, scheduling, risk management, change management, budgeting, resourcing, and reporting materials.

Reporting to the Portfolio Manager – Cybersecurity, the role is a key contributor in fostering a robust cybersecurity culture within Ahpra., by effectively deploying appropriate project management methodologies, fostering relationships, and coordinate with a range of stakeholders, including vendors, managed service providers, and government departments and agencies.

About you

You may be new to the PM role or stepping up from a junior project manager position, you will have experience of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to specification. With hands-on expertise in managing and coordinating either single and or multiple projects ensuring high-quality outcomes that align with organisational goals. Whether navigating tight deadlines or complex requirements, you excel at maintaining control over the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to agreed quality standards, timelines, and budgets.

You will have a natural ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal business customers. You work collaboratively to understand their needs, ensuring their expectations are met while fostering an environment of trust and mutual respect. You will be skilled in managing and coordinating internal and external resources ensures seamless project delivery, even in dynamic and challenging environments.

With a solid understanding of IT internal processes and systems enablement, you bring a strategic perspective to the projects you lead, ensuring that technology solutions are well-integrated and aligned with business objectives.
