The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications, and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

Reporting to the Regulatory Advisor – Registration (Quality), the Regulatory Officer – Registration (Quality) will undertake and support quality assurance activities, and data remediation activities, to ensure adherence to Ahpra' s registration standards, approved process, and procedures across the registration function and to drive continuous improvement and national consistency.

This includes the conduct, documentation, and reporting of reviews through objective qualitative and quantitative evidence gathering and analyses, the remediation of data anomalies, and providing outcomes and recommendations to the Regulatory Advisor – Registration Team Leader/s.

We are looking for a Regulatory Officer – Registration (Quality) to join our team in Sydney, Adelaide, or Canberra. This is a full time, ongoing role. Applications are also being accepted for expressions of interest to be placed on Ahpra’s merit list for any upcoming vacancies.

As the ideal candidate, you will:

  • Have experience in researching and gathering information from disparate sources, to articulate a cohesive summary, and to analyse the root cause to solve problems or present recommendations.
  • Have experience in the insightful analyses of spreadsheets of data, and in using Excel to create and manipulate spreadsheets, and in understanding and identifying trends in data.
  • Have experience in managing a caseload of overlapping tasks and in monitoring and adjusting priorities and scope.
  • Have experience of observing and assessing against criteria, from working within a complex administrative environment or legislative environment, by interpreting and applying legislative, policy, and procedure requirements, together with the ability to attend to details.
