The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

Finance & Procurement contributes to this mission by leveraging data, embracing technology and enabling change. By understanding the data that is relevant to decision making and providing in depth analysis where necessary, Finance & Procurement supports the strong functioning of the Ahpra Board, Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee, the National Executive, all fifteen National Boards and our co-regulatory partners.
The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the financial reporting and data; operating in accordance with Australian financial and accounting standards and statutory compliance obligations, including taxation and audit requirements.
This role demands strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills and the ability to handle financial data with accuracy and efficiency. We are seeking candidates who possess strong communication skills and be able to liaise with stakeholders and implement new process while we are undergoing major transformation in our systems and technologies.
