Team Leader - Supported Independent Living and Short-Term Accommodation

Bayside Respite Care has operating since 1991 and we are a small not-for-profit community organisation. Bayside Respite Care provides two essential service types to people with disability and their families. Our Short-Term Accommodation operates at Birkdale providing a "home away from home" environment supporting clients with their daily living and activities. We also offer support with Social and Community Participation from our base at Capalaba. Short Term Accommodation operates on a flexible fortnightly roster and Community Supports are determined by clients and families' needs. We are also creating a Supported Independent Living house.

Duties will include but not limited to providing assistance and supervision with leading the team by example, Staff Rosters, Support Plan development, Day to day running of the houses, Assisting the Coordinator in duties, Liaising with Families and other key stakeholders Personal care, Meals, Recreation, Communication, Behaviour management, Transport and Community access. Our accommodation services also include domestic household duties.

This is a permanent Part time position with a minimum guarantee of 25 hrs per week and we will consider the position being a casual position with the expectation of working at least 25hrs a week if this offers more flexibility for the applicant. 

It is not a necessity to have supported independent Living Skills experience as a team leader but would be desirable.
