We are currently seeking a Full Time Permanent staff member to join our team based at our offices in Sunshine.

The role

Reporting to the Coordinator, Connected Communities, we are seeking a Social Inclusion Project Lead who can bring their skills and experience in:

  • Project Management - effectively manage and provide leadership to the Social Inclusion Action Groups.
  • Leadership - Recruit, train and provide leadership and support to the Social Inclusion Action Groups.
  • Social policy and mental health and wellbeing planning
  • Stakeholder engagement

To be considered you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications or significant experience in a field such as community development, public health and health promotion.
  • Knowledge and understanding of mental health promotion and prevention.
  • Demonstrated experience in co-design, working with community members and leaders to co-create and implement innovative and local solutions in response to community need.
  • Understanding the impact of social connection and inclusion on mental health and wellbeing and of mental health and wellbeing promotion more broadly.
  • Leadership and project management skills.
  • The ability to oversee place-based funding.
  • Ability to analyse data and prepare reports.
  • Passionate about social justice and inclusion, self-determination, culturally competent and sensitive to the needs of diverse communities including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
