As the Intake Clinician, you will be the first point of contact for individuals seeking support through the Step Thru Care program. You will play a crucial role in conducting intake assessments, risk assessments, and coordinating care to ensure individuals receive the support they need. Working collaboratively with our partners Maryborough and District Health and Central Highlands Rural Health, you will help address co-occurring and independent MH and AOD support needs

What you will bring to the team:

  • Clinical expertise: Strong knowledge and experience in mental health and alcohol and other drugs support, including intake, risk assessment, and case management.
  • Compassionate communication: The ability to engage with consumers, carers, and professionals with empathy, active listening, and clear communication.
  • Collaboration & teamwork: A commitment to working within a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency team to provide integrated care.
  • Organisational & problem-solving skills: The ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple cases, and navigate complex support needs efficiently.
