Ballarat Community Health's (BCH) purpose is health and wellbeing for all with a commitment to the most vulnerable. Every day, our talented team of allied health professionals deliver comprehensive care to clients of all identities and backgrounds, with empathy and understanding. We are currently looking for Physiotherapist (Grade 2) to join our team - someone who has the expertise to bolster our existing strengths and is passionate about providing excellent client care.

Ultimately, make a meaningful difference to the lives of our most vulnerable and play an invaluable role in our community. You will work with clients to undertake assessment treatment and prevention of a range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions using the holistic social model of health. Working across one or more musculoskeletal streams with varied clinical presentations, this will include 1:1 sessions and group programs at one of Ballarat Community Health sites and providing a small amount of aged care service provision within an aged care setting.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A passion to improve the lives of others by delivering best outcomes for clients through determination, tenacity, resourcefulness, and a sense of purpose.
  • A willingness to embrace the vision and values of Ballarat Community Health
  • A Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent.
  • Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency AHPRA Registration
  • Experience in delivering musculoskeletal physiotherapy services, and proficiency in providing sensitive practice in response to client diversity
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, caregivers, and other team members
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • A great attitude, willing to learn new things, and most importantly an interest in listening and understanding what the client wants

As a BCH employee in this role, you must have:

  • A current Victorian Driver's License.
  • A valid Victorian Working with Children Check (employee only)
  • A satisfactory Police Check (paid for by BCH)
  • Proof of COVID-19 Immunisations (2 Initial doses and at least 1 Booster dose)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
