About the role

Join our friendly and professional team at Capital Region Community Services (CRCS) as a casual Educator. We are seeking individuals with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, Diploma of School Age Education and Care, or equivalent qualifications. Bring your life experience in sports, art, craft, or coaching to enhance the children's learning.

At CRCS, we value your input and encourage creativity in our centre. Whether you have OSHC, teaching, or coaching experience, or are currently studying, we welcome you. Enjoy educating children in a relaxed environment within our supportive community.

Multiple casual positions are available, with up to 75 hours per fortnight, in our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) program. Join us to provide high-quality education and care to children.

Interact with and supervise children effectively while collaborating with the team to deliver exceptional education and care. To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmental needs of children
  • Ability to develop strong and sustained relationships with children and able to demonstrate a clear picture of the child as a learner
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations, Framework and Standards.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework or My Time Our Place Framework
  • Understanding of work health and safety responsibilities both under the Work Health and Safety Law and the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.
  • Diploma in Children Services or equivalent recognised by ACECQA
  • Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates

CRCS also requires all workers to:

  • Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
  • Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position
  • Maintain full COVID-19 vaccination currency and provide evidence of their vaccinations to CRCS (sensitive information is kept private and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles) unless they are able to provide suitable evidence of a medical contraindication that prevents them from receiving this vaccine.
