About the Educator – Outside School Hours Care (OHSC)

CRCS is seeking enthusiastic and energetic professionals to join the Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) team based across Charnwood and Florey!

We have multiple Entry Level Educator positions and 1 Diploma Qualified Educator, and the details are provided below:

  • Entry level Educators: Minimum Certificate level qualification in any related areas including Youth Work, Leisure and Health, Education Support etc. Casual and Permanent Part Time positions available working morning (7am - 9am) and/or afternoon (2:30pm - 5:30pm) shifts between Monday to Friday.
  • 1 Diploma qualified Educator: Minimum Diploma in Early Education and Care qualified working permanent part time basis across morning (7am - 9am) and/or afternoon (2:30pm - 5:30pm) shifts. 

We are seeking individuals with diverse life experiences in sports, art, music, drama, craft, coaching, or teaching to enrich the children's learning experiences. In addition to Before and After School Care roster, there are also opportunities for shifts during School Holiday programs across Charnwood and Florey areas and opportunity to work in our Early Childhood Centres if eligibility criteria are met for roles based in the Centres.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities for children.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Support the development and implementation of the program's educational goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organised environment.

The successful candidate will possess excellent people skills, high energy levels, and a patient demeanour. Your passion for delivering high-quality play-based care will bring satisfaction as you assist children in mastering new skills, ensuring they enjoy their time and actively participate in activities. Whether you have experience in OSHC, teaching, coaching, or are currently studying in related fields, we wholeheartedly welcome you.

Qualification and experience:

  • Entry level Educator: Certificate III or studying towards a primary/early childhood education qualification is desirable.
  • Diploma qualified Educator: Diploma in Children Services or currently studying towards this qualification
  • Food Safety, Handling, and Hygiene training.
