We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Project Administrator providing administrative and logistics support to the Community Based Project Lead – Community Sector Sustainability Project. In this role, you will work collaboratively with NGOs and staff in ACT Government agencies to implement the Sector Sustainability Program (SSP) and contribute to the delivery of high-quality community-based human services. About the role

As a Project Administrator, your primary responsibility will be to provide administrative and logistics support to the Project Lead, ensuring the project is delivered in accordance with the requirements set out in the Deed of Grant and the expectations of the Project Lead. This will involve coordinating, directing, and managing specific activities within the SSP, as well as assisting in data sourcing and analysis through desk-based research and stakeholder consultation.

Given the project's implementation across ACT Government NGO entities, adherence to strict protocols regarding confidentiality and conflicts of interest is essential. You will be expected to maintain project records and files in accordance with CRCS and ACT Government requirements. Additionally, you will provide backbone support for external engagement activities and internal decision-making, acting as a point of contact for stakeholders and providing guidance on project objectives, timelines, engagement opportunities, and communication channels.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong knowledge and commitment to the CRCS Vision, Purpose, Values, and Strategic Goals. Your personal attributes should include optimism, resilience, and flexibility. Demonstrated experience in project administration and implementation, as well as skills in systems thinking and continuous improvement, are essential. Excellent time management, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills are also required, along with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships in a collaborative team-based environment.

Having a current Driver's License and access to a roadworthy, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle for work purposes is necessary for this position.

Experience in or understanding of the human services sector, along with networks in the community sector, including Community Controlled Organisations, is highly desirable. Knowledge of the operating environment for community-based human services and an understanding of the challenges and risks involved in delivering high-quality services in the community are also advantageous.

CRCS also requires all employees to:

  • Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
  • Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position
  • Maintain full COVID-19 vaccination currency and provide evidence of their vaccinations to CRCS (sensitive information is kept private and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles) unless they are able to provide suitable evidence of a medical contraindication that prevents them from receiving this vaccine.
