Landcare Australia is a national not-for-profit organisation that supports the landcare community with funding, capacity-building, on-ground projects, information, networking and promotion of landcare achievements.

Landcare is a grassroots movement of groups, organisations and individuals across Australia with a shared vision to protect, enhance or restore the natural environment in their local community through sustainable land management and conservation activities. Landcare enables people to actively care for the natural environment in their community.

The Role

The Digital Marketing Manager is a leadership role that will strategically develop, implement and manager Landcare Australia's digital strategies. It is responsible for the growth of Landcare Australia’s online audience, which includes activities that will increase online engagement, raise awareness of Landcare Australia’s brand and support campaigns that will assist with attracting funding from the government, philanthropic and corporate partners to support the landcare movement.

This successful candidate will have a strong understanding of current digital marketing concepts, emerging technologies and best practice. You will also bring the perfect balance of being able to think strategically but also capable to hit the ground running with day-to-day campaign and digital marketing projects. This role will be working in a fast-paced and agile environment and will need to juggle multiple different projects at any one time, whilst also managing a team and external contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage digital marketing within the organisation’s overall marketing strategy
  • Support and drive all relevant KPI targets including online growth for Landcare Australia’s digital platforms and social media channels
  • Manage continuous review, content and updates on multiple websites
  • First point of contact for technical incident management across all digital platforms
  • Implement and manage social media content calendar, content creation and curation
  • Manage databases, develop, and implement digital marketing campaigns across all brands: Landcare Australia, Junior Landcare, Landcarer, Coastcare and Landcare Farming
  • Ongoing review of analytics, audience behavioural data and market research to optimise digital marketing activities
  • Drive strong reporting practice to highlight trends and generate recommended actions to optimise ROI
  • Lead continuous internal process improvement to increase impact of digital channels
  • Lead mentoring and upskilling of digital capabilities for all staff
  • Strategic development and execution of Search Engine Optimisation activities on a continuous basis
  • Collaborate effectively with external stakeholders including suppliers, corporate partners and the landcare community

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing and/or digital marketing or relevant discipline
  • Proven experience in developing, implementing, and measuring multi-channel digital communication strategies
  • Ability to work independently within a small dynamic team
  • Previous management experience to work with and mentor direct reports
  • Strong communications skills with attention to detail
  • Creative flair with proven ability to write and develop engaging and relevant content for online communications
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, emerging technologies, strategy and best practice
  • Highly organised and can manage multiple projects
  • Ability to produce project and campaign plans, timelines, budgets and briefs
  • Experience using CMS, especially WordPress and knowledge of Hootsuite, MailChimp, Active Campaign, Streamyard and SurveyMonkey, with Adobe creative suite experience an advantage
  • Strong analytical experience, including knowledge of Google Analytics and Facebook Analytics and the ability to identify and determine and measure ROI
  • Proven knowledge of the implementation of SEO and SEM
  • A can-do attitude to make things happen
  • A genuine interest and passion for the environment
