About the Role:
The Team Leader’s role is critical in creating a culture of care, professionalism and support for both consumers and staff. By creating and leading a team of staff that coordinates care in a cohesive and effective manner, the House Manager contributes to the consumers, families and carers' choices and control and ensures they are safe, and their rights and responsibilities are supported and maintained.
Role Responsibilities:
As the Team Leader SIL, you will lead the effective implementation of person-centred plans in line with participants' goals, needs and control. You will also be involved in:
- Ensuring the continuity of care and leading smooth transitions in and out of ICLA support services
- Overseeing the implementation and monitoring of resident goals, activities, needs and risk plans and ensuring accurate weekly reporting in the record management system to substantiate NDIS claiming
- Ensuring accurate documentation of authorised and unauthorised Restrictive Practices in line with resident Behaviour Support Plans and preventing and responding to points of crisis
- Ensuring compliance with ICLA’s service delivery processes, policies and procedures and promoting a strong safety culture
- Providing stakeholders with updates in line with consent provided by residents, e.g., behaviour support practitioners, families, guardians, allied health and doctors
- Leading effectively to ensure staff performance is aligned with organisational goals, including training, mentoring, and supporting staff
- Monitoring consumer's NDIS budgets, ensuring service delivery is in line with programs and funding.
- Managing the daily operations of the site and assisting the Regional Manager as required such as budget oversight, supply orders, maintenance and other site-based operational matters
Essential Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will be a supportive leader, with the ability to mentor and supervise staff through an empathetic and personable management style. You will also have:
- A demonstrated understanding of the NDIS including Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Individual Living Options (ILO)
- Experience in Residential Services, Mental Health and/or Disability fields, and the confidence to support people living with complex needs
- Certificate IV in Disability Support or equivalent experience
- A solution-focused and driven mindset with strong leadership experience and abilities to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, Driver’s Licence and First Aid Certificate
