About the Role

The Operations Manager will work in tandem with the Executive Officer to ensure efficient operations and processes to support strategic objectives for the organisation.

You will provide operations/governance oversight and guidance to the Program and Fundraising teams – leveraging your strong communications and relationship building skills will be the key to success in this varied role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Officer to implement organisational policies and procedures – reviewing regularly and implementing and training on updates as necessary; be the internal SME on governance/compliance best practise.
  • Support the Program team with workflow management such as rostering changes, providing guidance on incidents and escalating as necessary.
  • Support the Fundraising team with workflow management such as compliance, reconciliations and administrating the CRM.
  • Facilities management, including planned and reactive maintenance and general office management such as stationery and supply management.
  • Be the first point of contact for People and Culture matters, such as ER/IR issues, learning and development, training and onboarding for paid staff and volunteers.
  • Working with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely IT support to the team and ensuring issues are troubleshooter quickly.
  • Out of hours attendance at events to support the team and organisation goals may be required – time in lieu will be provided.

Essential Requirements

You will be connected to the cause of the organisation and display a genuine interest in supporting the welfare of children and young people. Being comfortable collaborating in a small team environment will be another critical success factor in the role.

  • Previous experience in a similar role leading the operations function internally – having oversight over IT, People and Culture and general administrative responsibilities, and ensuring strong partnerships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all tasks and deliverables.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – able to comfortably interact with a broad variety of stakeholders from varying backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Sharepoint.
  • A current Driver’s License will be highly regarded, and the successful candidate will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check.
