Their fundraising team plays a crucial role in driving this impact. This current opportunity is for a passionate Philanthropy Manager to join this dynamic team and help grow and steward philanthropic partnerships that change lives.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Partnerships Team Lead, you will manage a portfolio of major donors, developing and deepening relationships to secure significant gifts.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with both an engaged supporter base and a new pipeline of prospects to contribute to Mission Australia’s bold vision for ending homelessness and strengthening communities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced relationship fundraiser who thrives on building meaningful connections, communicating compelling cases for support, and driving long-term philanthropic partnerships.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Growing and managing a portfolio of major donors to develop long-term, high-value relationships.
  • Creating tailored engagement plans that inspire ongoing and multi-year giving.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to identify funding opportunities and craft compelling proposals.
  • Contributing to the annual philanthropy strategy, helping shape Mission Australia’s fundraising direction.
  • Ensuring accurate donor data management within the CRM (preferably Dynamics).

About You:

You are a passionate and driven fundraising professional with a strong background in major gifts, relationship management, or relationship fundraising. You will thrive on building authentic connections and securing transformative gifts that make a difference.

You’re also:

  • Strategic and data-driven, using insights to strengthen donor relationships.
  • A natural communicator, able to inspire and engage donors with compelling storytelling.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive, juggling multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.
  • A collaborative team player, passionate about social justice and making a real impact.
  • You are keen to find innovative solutions to grow and retain donor support.
