We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Manager to join the People, Culture and Diversity (PCD) function. Reporting to the General Manager, you will drive organisational performance, create capacity and capability for greater performance, within a quality focused and customer-centric context. A key focus for this role will be to oversee the continuous improvement and development of our HR systems, processes and practices to meet the emerging needs of the business.

In this role you will:

  • Be a trusted advisor to Senior Managers and the Executive team on people management matters
  • Lead and develop the HR business partnering team, sharing business context, priorities and feedback, whilst seeking input for new ideas and improvements
  • Ensure delivery of contemporary best practice HR: Embed a culture of ownership and quality assurance to ensure compliance
  • Lead the development of the annual HR work plan, policies and procedures in line with the priorities of the Benetas People Plan
  • Build metrics to analyse and influence decision making around capability and people management performance, and to assess/improve HR processes
  • Bring leadership expertise to process mapping is end to end and technology is an enabler
  • Oversee the quality and delivery of professional, reliable and contemporary HR generalist expertise, including: Industrial relations, employee relations, performance management, HR policy, procedures and practices, employee entitlements and pay matters, HR analytics and reporting
  • Build the Employee/Industrial Relations Centre of Expertise: Develop and lead a program to consolidate and renegotiate multiple Enterprise Agreements
  • Monitor and provide accurate recommendations on complex employee relations matters including managing senior disciplinary investigations and outcome.

To thrive in the role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification (or comparable experience) in Employee Relations / Human Resources or equivalent
  • Extensive generalist experience working with awards and agreements
  • Demonstrated ability to critically analyse and provide innovative recommendations on complex ER matters
  • Successful change agent, identifying and delivering improvements
  • Excellent planning, budgeting, reporting and time management skills
  • Sound influencing, negotiating, problem solving and relationship building skills
  • Experience bringing contemporary HR issues into focus whilst drawing upon sound business knowledge
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships by building credibility, respect and rapport with stakeholders
  • Natural people leader and able to mentor and coach a range of stakeholders
