The Berry Street School is a specialist secondary school that caters for young people who have become disengaged from mainstream school, who may have experienced trauma and who lack the support required to be successful in education.
The Noble Park Campus currently has a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a passionate Education Support Worker. Please note that this campus will be relocating in the near future, most likely to the Narre Warren area.
Primary responsibilities of the Education Support Worker will include:
To be successful in the role you will hold a qualification in Education Support, Youth Work or Social Work and a deep understanding of the Education system. You will be passionate about encouraging and supporting disengaged students and those with learning difficulties reignite their love of learning and have an understanding of the trauma informed Positive Education Model.
You will have a demonstrated ability and experience in the effective engagement of young people with complex needs and strong literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
