ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an experienced fundraising professional who is excited about the opportunity to contribute to accelerating climate solutions for Australia.
Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board of Directors and senior staff across the organisation, your focus will be on building a significant and sustainable income stream for BZE.
Leading a Fundraising Specialist, and volunteers, you will proactively manage and expand BZE’s donor base, ensuring revenue targets are met and building a sustainable income stream through various fundraising initiatives.
You will be a talented, proactive fundraising professional who loves to ‘work the room’ and make a real impact in fostering productive and long term donor relationships.
This position is a part time 0.6 work arrangement, and can be located in either Sydney or Melbourne.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
We're looking for someone with a proven track record in fundraising, particularly within the Australian philanthropy sector. The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience in securing major donors and multi-year funding agreements.
- Track record in leading fundraising strategies, best practices, and trends
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to use fundraising databases and CRM systems
- Commitment to Beyond Zero Emissions’ vision and purpose together with an understanding of, or interest in, climate science and Australia’s transition towards a low-carbon economy
- Team player who is committed to contributing to a positive team culture and actively working towards the goals of our strategic plan.
