ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a passionate Research Officer who is excited about the opportunity to contribute to accelerating climate solutions for Australia.

The role offers the opportunity to conduct rigorous and data driven research and make the case for ambitious change. You will be joining a small but mighty team of passionate and curious individuals who love their work and want to make positive change.

In addition you will have the opportunity to actively engage with our volunteers and key stakeholders on a regular basis helping to see the impact of our research. This includes site visits and consulting with industry stakeholders to gather information and insights.

This position is an ongoing full time or part time (0.8) arrangement, and can be located anywhere in Australia.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

We're looking for someone who not only is an experienced researcher, but who also loves engaging with people. The ideal candidate will have:

• An ability and enthusiasm to work successfully and collaboratively in a diverse and curious team
• Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to help coordinate a range of research activities and deliver project outcomes
• Demonstrated interest and knowledge in climate change initiatives
• Clear written/oral communication skills.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills and familiarity with Excel and/or R.
• Advanced organisational abilities, proficient in project management, multitasking, forecasting, budgeting and maintaining accurate records in databases
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of people and sectors.
