About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work at Box Hill Institute as our Literacy and Numeracy (LN) Support Teacher. This is a part-time (0.4EFT), ongoing opportunity based at our Lilydale Campus. This position reports directly to the LN Skills Coordinator, and sits within the Foundation Education College area of the Education Delivery portfolio.
What you'll do:
- Provide high quality and innovative course materials and excellent teaching delivery to current domestic VERT students
- Support student success in Learner Support Skill Sets and thereby improve their employment and/or educational pathways
- Ensure BHI compliance requirements are met, and quality education is delivered to students
About you:

- Victorian Working with Children Check clearance
- National Police Check clearance
Qualifications and experience:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/22) or a qualification at diploma level or higher in Adult Education
- A recognised and accredited Adult Language and/or Numeracy and Literacy teaching qualification at AQF7 or above and relevant vocational competencies to demonstrate expertise in teaching literacy and numeracy
- Desirable: eligible for/or current VIT Registration
- Ability to plan, research, design and deliver logical, succinct, up-to-date and engaging course materials and lessons.
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (i.e. Moodle) to create innovative and engaging learning experiences for students
- Ability to develop a range of complex documents that comply with all relevant quality standards, including unit plans and assessment tools
