About The Role

Anglicare is looking for a Support Worker within the Children and Parenting Services to provide support to children and parents through supported playgroups using an integrated service delivery model.

This is a casual role based at Campbelltown.

Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Actively participating in activities with the children and parents to provide a stimulating and engaging environment for children
  • To ensure confidentiality of personal information
  • Providing supervision at all times to ensure a safe environment is provided for children and ensuring equipment and resources are in good working order and maintained appropriately.
  • Ensures a duty of care to children at all times
  • Reporting to management any concerns in relation to a child's behaviour or how they are presenting and assisting with mandatory reporting to DCJ as required.
  • Contributes to the Smooth operation of the playgroup by assisting to set up activities, and pack equipment away

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or about in Community Welfare, early Childhood
  • Current NSW First Aid Certificate
  • Experience in working with disadvantaged groups including parents and children
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients from different and varied backgrounds, include CALD and Aboriginal communities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer Skills
  • NSW Drivers licence
