Anglicare have an exciting opportunity for a Community Pantry Support Worker, 1.5 days a week, to join our team in TAMWORTH NSW. This role is a permanent part time support role, working behind the scenes of our vibrant community pantries.This position would suit a Tamworth based person who is a regular attender of a Christian Church.
Anglicare are looking for a staff member 1.5 days per week who has initiative and enthusiasm to support those in the community who struggle with issues relating to food insecurity. Anglicare provides a pantry service through a Mobile Community Pantry van, in conjunction with the Tamworth Anglican Churches.
This role will be responsible for the ordering, reconciliation and packing of the van. Occasional driving of the van will be needed and filling in at pantry sites when they are short on church volunteers.
This position is located in the Tamworth area but will include some outreach to surrounding communities. There will be access to a work pool car, computer and mobile phone for work purposes.
