The Advisor Nature Positive investment is responsible for developing initiatives that leverage corporate Nature Positive and Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) activities to finance and implement BirdLife Australia priority conservation and research projects. This role focuses on identifying and engaging stakeholders in Nature Positive initiatives. Specifically, the role will work with BirdLife staff to design and promote conservation, research and advisory projects that further the Bird Conservation Strategy (BCS) goals by delivering on Conservation Action Area 8 – Working with the private sector.
You will have a degree in Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, Economics, Finance, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing Nature Positive conservation solutions through strong project management, including budget management and reporting. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills including the ability to represent BirdLife professionally and competently in negotiations with potential industry partners. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills and a high level of computer literacy.
This is a part-time maximum term role, located in our Head Office in Melbourne.
Applicants must possess corresponding work rights to be eligible for appointment and a current national police check (NPC) (or willingness to obtain). A Working with Children Check will also be required.
