This exciting new role is responsible for managing the mid-value donor portfolio of individuals who give between $1,000 - $10,000 annually, actively generating a growing stream of income nationally.

This role will also lead the Fundraising Team’s prospect research efforts, working closely with the Major Gifts Team to identify prospective major donors and support the qualification process, along with managing the coordination of donor events on behalf of the Fundraising Team.

What you will bring to the team

You will a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills who has a passion for BirdLifes mission.

We are particularly interested in someone with strong interpersonal and written communication skills; including comfort with soliciting funds;

You will have demonstrated organisational and project management skills which will enable you to manage complex projects to completion.

With a high level of professionalism, you will have the ability to build professional rapport with a diverse range of people, including high-net-worth individuals and senior management;

Benefits on offer

This is a full-time role on a continual contract which comes with an attractive salary range of $68,500 - $74,268 per annum plus 11% Super (Final salary within this range to be negotiated with successful candidate based on skills and experience). This is a hybrid position based from a home office location and the BirdLife Australia National Office, Carlton, Victoria.

To apply for this role

  • Completed Fundraising Institute of Australia code of conduct or willing to do so.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; including comfort with soliciting funds;
  • Proven record of successfully managing complex projects to completion;
  • Ability to build professional rapport with a diverse range of people, including high-net-worth individuals and senior management;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • An understanding of the environment and conservation sector, fundraising principles and practices in Australian NFPs, and the FIA Code of Conduct are desirable but not strictly essential;
  • Experience with Salesforce is preferred but not essential.
  • Have valid Australian work rights with permission to work.
