The Marketing Coordinator is a new role within BlakDance that will support the organisation’s activities as the steward of the organisation's new brand identity. With responsibility for planning, creating, scheduling and releasing engaging and effective marketing communications material that reinforces the brand’s key messages, the Marketing Coordinator will be instrumental in telling the BlakDance story.
Working closely with BlakDance team members and our artists and presenting partners, this role is responsible for development and implementation of BlakDance’s marketing and communications activities, delivering marketing communications activities in a cross-promotional arrangement servicing co-production agreements. Without being prescriptive, this could include digital marketing including social media and websites, public relations (PR) and publicity, advertising and audience engagement activities.
The Marketing Coordinator will also work alongside the Marketing Consultant for approximately 10 months to develop an arts marketing strategy for BlakDance. Engaging a Marketing Consultant with digital expertise will foster in-house skills and capacity to develop a strategic layer to BlakDance’s arts marketing, and integrate marketing communications with broader strategic objectives. The Marketing Coordinator will play a positive and active role in co-designing the organisation’s arts marketing strategy. The Marketing Coordinator will have an active stake in the implementation plan for the strategy, collaboratively deciding the optimal marketing channels and tactics to bring the strategy to life day-to-day.
