At Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary we empower, educate and inspire our community to care for wildlife, their habitats and the environment. A conservation focussed, for-purpose enterprise, our work is substantially funded by our tourism business, which includes our wildlife sanctuary, gift shop and our always popular food outlet, “The Burrow”.

To fuel and delight our local and international guests, we are seeking a part-time Food Outlet Attendant to join our dedicated team of culinary wizards! Serving only ethically sourced, plant-based food, you will work between 14 and 19 hours a week, with the opportunity to take on additional work during times of peak demand.

Working under an experienced chef with a passion for quality food and a positive guest experience, you will be joining us during a time of growth and diversification. Candidates with experience working in front-of-house or kitchen positions are encouraged to apply.

Selection Criteria

• Minimum 1 year experience in the hospitality industry (preferably a cafe, food van or similar type of food preparation environment)
• Food preparation and cooking experience is desirable.
• A working knowledge of the food safety standards.
• The ability to make a great coffee!
• The capacity to multitask within a busy, fast-paced environment.

Based in Brighton, Tasmania – around 30 minutes north of the Hobart CBD – it is essential that you have your own reliable transport to get to and from work.
