Our campaign work has covered issues such as introducing 10c container refunds to reduce beverage container waste and litter; banning single use plastics; preventing the dumping of used toxic tyres; reducing and replacing plastic packaging; and promoting recycling and the circular economy. Our network includes 55 national, state and local environment groups.

ABOUT PLASTIC FREE PLACES

Boomerang Alliance’s Plastic Free Places (PFP) program was established in 2018 to promote the switch from single-use, disposable plastic takeaway products to better practices and alternatives. By taking a whole-of-community approach, we work with food service businesses, suppliers, local councils and state and federal governments across Australia.
