We’re looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Playgroup Facilitator to join our Supported Playgroup Team. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your skills and experience within a supportive and friendly team environment. We’re seeking a self-starter who brings creativity, fresh ideas, and the initiative to drive positive change.
As a Playgroup Facilitator, you’ll provide high-quality, developmentally appropriate experiences for children while supporting parents to build their skills and confidence. Your role will be diverse, including parenting appointments, group work (with training provided), program planning and development, and a collaborative approach to service delivery. Using evidence-based practices, you’ll strengthen family capacity and support the community’s growth.

Responsibilities Include:
- Plan and facilitate engaging playgroup sessions for children aged 0-5 years, fostering early development and social skills
- Passionate about working with children and a commitment to improving outcomes for families
- Collaborate in partnership projects with organisations such as NSW Health and DCJ to enhance service delivery
- Promote children's well-being, safety, and learning through structured and supportive activities
- Provide up to date, informative, evidence-based advice on parenting and child development to support families' needs
- Empower parents by boosting their capacity, confidence, and sense of community connection
- Undertake facilitator training to effectively deliver parenting programs that make a positive impact
Essential:
- Qualifications in Early Childhood Education, such as a Diploma or Certificate III, with a strong understanding of Early Childhood Development
- Proven experience working with vulnerable families, including those from diverse backgrounds and Indigenous communities
- In-depth knowledge of NSW Child Protection Legislation and mandatory reporting requirements
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work collaboratively within a team to achieve shared goals
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, with experience in data entry
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current Police Check
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence
Desirable
- Proficiency in a second language is highly desirable
- Experience in developing and delivering community-based early childhood programs
- Training or experience in facilitating parenting programs to support families effectively

Remuneration
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, with attractive salary packaging options.
